WKBI MYSTERY PHOTO

THE MYSTERY PHOTO CONTEST IS NOW DISCONTINUED.  WE'LL LEAVE THE PHOTOS UP SO YOU CAN SEE THEM

This was the new December, 2003 Photo:

2003 Ice Sculptures at Courthouse on Main Street, Ridgway.

These Ice Carvings from last year are in front of what building?  Jackie Candalor answered this on December 11th, and won the prize.  We apologize for forgetting to close the contest.  12/11/03

This was the October/November Photo

Lynn Young of St. Marys was the lucky winner whose name was drawn from among all of the persons who had emailed their guesses.  He said it is the old Sheetz in Ridgway that was replaced.  He wins the prize.

This was the September, 2003 Mystery Photo

It is between Hollywood and  Penfield, PA

This was the May 2003 Mystery Photo. Susan Lindemuth knew it is at the St. Joseph Monastery.  Isn't it beautiful!

This was the April, 2003 Mystery Photo. Francis Greich's correct answer won him a dinner for two.  He guessed it's taken from the launch area of Love's Canoe along the river in Ridgway.

This was the March Mystery Photo

We had many correct guesses on this one.  It is Decker's Chapel, near St. Marys, believed to be the smallest church in existence.

This was the January Mystery Photo.  The lucky winner drawn from all of the correct entries was Nancy Klawuhn. The photo is of the  longtime Bogert Hotel on Main Street in Ridgway.

Here's December's:

This photo was taken from South St. Marys looking north at the busy intersection at the theatre and longtime bank location  The drawing for the winner was held on January 4th and Stacey Haberberger's entry was chosen from the correct guesses.  She'll receive her prize and our congratulations..

Betty Walter of Ridgway correctly identified this photo as the skyline of Main Street in Ridgway from the Court House.  She wins the prize for November..

October's Photo

If you guessed The St. Marys Area High School, you would have been right.  From all of the correct answers, the drawing came up with "SnyderB@alltel.com", so he/she wins dinner for two at an area restaurant.  As soon as we get the mailing address and name, the prize will be sent to her/him.  Congratulations!

This was the One To Guess for September, 2002:

Where is it?  Can you guess the location of this photo? Amanda Biel correctly identified it as downtown St. Marys, looking up the street toward the F & M Bank Building.  Congratulations, Amanda.

This was the Mystery Photo for August, 2002

Correct Answer was Berwind Park.  Winner was Traci Paget

Alan @ TheFreeds was first with the correct guess:  "The St. Marys Community Playground.

Nobody identified this photo.  It is the St.Marys Fire Bell, which was used for nearly a century to sound alarms, beginning before sirens were used, and long before pagers existed.  So no prize.  But, enjoy the photo.  It is located south of Depot Street and the Diamond, behind the row of buildings.
